Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Tioga, Texas The
material from a brush arbor next to the Stiff Chapel School was used to
build the first church building. The
First Baptist Church of Tioga had a baptismal that the Mt. Carmel
Baptist Church, east of Tioga, would borrow to baptize their members.
Before that, Mt. Carmel would use someone's stock tank for their
baptisms.
The
frame church building in the picture above was built in 1936. It was
