Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Kentuckytown, Texas In
February 1852
shortly after Dr. Josiah L. Heiston laid out the new town of Kentucky
Town, the Baptists organized a church under the name of "The United
Baptist Church at Pleasant Hills". Shortly after their minutes
reflected the name as "Pleasant Hill Baptist Church". The church
carried the name until 1857. Rev. John O. Walker was the first pastor.
