NAZARENE CHURCH PLANNING BUILDING
The church of the Nazarene was organized Jun 26, 1910 by Rev. B.M. Kilgore and Rev. S.W. Gregory following a revival held by Rev. Kilgore on E. Gandy Street.
Rev. S.W. Gregory was the first pastor; F.E. Pierce was the first Sunday School s uperintendent and H.L. Lee was the first secretary.  Mrs. May Pierce rented a hall where services were held for a period.
At one time services were held in a hay barn in east Denison and later in  a store building. From there services were moved to the Evangelical Church on Tone avenue between Main and Woodard streets.  Then services were held in a store room in Sugar Bottom.  Finally in August 1912 during a revival conducted by W.D. Moore, arrangements were made for a church in west Denison.
On September 18, 1918, while Rev. Mrs. E.J. Sheeks was pastor, the Group purchased the Grace Methodist Church where it now worships at
231 W. Texas street.

Rev. O.F. Langford a nnounces that plans are being made for a new rock veneered church.
