Savoy United Methodist Church Savoy, Texas  "Savoy United
Methodist Church and its pastor, the Rev. A. D. Campbell, invites all
friends and former members of the church for the celebration of its
113th anniversary and the dedication of the Texas Historical Marker
April 14 at 2:30 p.m. The church traces its beginning to 1973 (sic
1873); a year after Col. William Louis Savoy founded the town. The
church was one of the few buildings not destroyed by a tornado in
1880."
