Sunday School Convention
Sherman, Tex., Aug. 4 - The north Texas progressive colored Baptist Sunday school convention was called to order at the College street church this afternoon with about 100 delegates present.
Rev. J.G. Gilmore of Dallas is presiding.
Devotional exercises were conducted by Rev. Williams of Fort Worth.
A number of visitors were introduced and invited to a seat at in the convention.
Dr. D.W. Porter of Sherman delivered the address of welcome.
Rev. Fountain also made a few remarks of welcome.
Committees on credentials and enrollment were regularly appointed.
