Services for Mrs. Easter Recy Vawter, 80, of Sherman were held June 14 in Friendship cemetery.  She died June 12 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
Mrs. Vawter was born in Alvord, a daughter of B. A. Gregg and Annie Sessemon Gregg, and married Claude Vawter on
Oct. 24, 1940, in Durant, Okla.  She attended the Harvest Time Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are her sons, Harold Vawter and Larry Vawter of Southmayd; stepsons, Carl Vawter of Van Alstyne, Virgil
Vawter of Colorado Springs, CO, Darrell Vawter of Sanderson and Guy Vawter of Denver, CO.; brother, Harland Gregg of Whitesboro; sisters, Bertha Kimbrell of Sherman, Abbie Lively of Whitesboro and Jettie Spencer of bowie; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons Kenneth Ray Vawter, Keith Vawter, Joey Vawter, Bruce Sanders, Danny Gregg and Ken Schmidtz.
