Services for Terry L. Thedford, 66, of Sherman, who passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010, at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ, were held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Rev. Beth Kellner of Friendship United Methodist Church officiated. Dannel Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Terry was born on May 14, 1944, in Houston, Texas, son of J.C. and Dorothy Thedford. He was raised in the Houston area and attended schools in Laporte. Upon graduating from high school, Terry joined the United States Navy. He was a welder by trade and spent the majority of his life traveling all over the county working on power plants. Terry met his wife, Peggy, while working in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, they married on August 30, 1973, and eventually moved to Sherman. Terry was a simple man with a great sense of humor and a tremendous love for his family.

Mr. Thedford was predeceased by his father and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; mother, Dorothy Thedford of Houston; 3 sons: Jason Thedford and wife Tracy of Dalton, Louisiana, Aaron Thedford of Austin, and Zachery Thedford of Gunter; daughter Leah Thedford of Plano; brother, Galen Thedford of Pasadena, Texas; and 2 grandchildren.
