Mattie Mae Ruyle, 95, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Settlers Ridge Alternative Care Center in Celina, Texas.
Mrs Ruyle was born on June 29, 1914 in Southmayd,Texas where she grew up on a cotton farm managed by her parents William Henry Klas and Laura Mae Saunders and attended Southmayd Schools.
Mattie was a talented seamstress, but will be remembered most by her kind hearted and lively positive spirit; she was known to be loving and supportive. Mattie remained in good spirits to the end of her life on earth starting with a smile, she was going to meet her leader. She was a member of Lakeway United Methodist Church and served over 50 years in the United Methodist Womens Fellowship.
Mrs Ruyle is survived by her husband, Earl Alexander Ruyle; son of Arthur R. Ruyle and Dorsey Mae Hurley residing in Pottsboro, Texas; and her daughter Deloris Jane Berks and her son-in-law, Dr. Andrew Berks, residing in New York City;
her brothers, R.W. Klas and wife, Eveline, of Sherman, Texas; and William Klas of Sparks of Nevada; sisters Frankie Anderson of Pottsboro; Jackie Saunier and husband, C.J., of Whitesboro, Texas. Also surviving are grandchildren, Elizabeth McQueen, Jackie Berks, Tanis Berks, Meghan Walker and Christopher Walker.

She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Gray and brothers Alvin Klas and John Klas.
Mrs Ruyle's service was at 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel on Tuesday, 10 September 2009 with Rev. Allen W. Snider officiating.  Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery, Sherman, Grayson Co., Texas.  Pallbearers were be Andrew Berks, Richard Anderson, William Schluter, Willie Duncan, Billy Walker, Steve Klas and Phil Klas.

Earl Alexander Ruyle, 85, passed on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.  Earl was born on February 10, 1924 in Dallas, where he grew up on a dairy farm managed by his parents, Arthur and Dorsey Ruyle.  Mr. Ruyle was married over 63 years to Mattie Mae Ruyle, who recently passed on September 7, 2009.
Mr. Ruyle was a talented brick mason and designed the beautiful Mausoleum at Restland in Dallas, as well as numerous beautiful buildings in Dallas.  He was a lively spirit who will be remembered by many who crossed his path.  He resided in recent years in the Pottsboro area.
Mr. Ruyle is survived by his daughter, Deloria Berks and son-in-law, Andy Berks, who reside in New York City; adopted daughter, Janice Walker and son-in-law, Billy Walker, and their 3 children, Elizabeth, Meghan and Christopher.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Lola Tinert, Lila Carlson, and Ruby Young; and brotherd, Eddy Ruyle and Bill Ruyle.
Memorial service was held Saturday, September 26 at the Lakeway United Methodist Church, Pottsboro.
