SHERMAN - Ina Zoe Morgan, 81, passed away Saturday morning, July 6 at the Medical Center of McKinney. Celebration of life services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, July 11 at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Mike Lawson of First Baptist Church/Sherman will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 -7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10 at Dannel Funeral Home. Mrs. Morgan will be buried in Friendship Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.

Mrs. Morgan was born November 17, 1932 in Mills County, Texas, to Robert Emerson and Sarah Hensley Davis. She married William Grady Morgan Sr. on January 27, 1951 in Lampasas. After raising six children, she returned to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she received bachelor's and master's degrees in education. In addition to teaching Sunday School classes in the Baptist church for many years, her passion for children was manifested by her decision to teach in public schools for more than 20 years until her retirement. A favorite pastime for Ina involved researching genealogies. She also enjoyed a game or two of bowling as a way to relax and enjoy friends.

Ina is preceded in death by her daughter, Zoe Ann Morgan; her parents; and her husband. She is survived by sons, William Grady Morgan Jr. of Atwood, Tenn.; Thomas Morgan (Suzi) of Denison, David Marshall Morgan (Elaine) of Frisco daughters, Mary Kathleen Low (Jerry) of El Paso, Jacqueline Louise Perry (Mark) of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; brothers, Dennis Davis of Houston and Roy Davis (Faye) of Plano; sister, Mattielou Shaw of Goldthwaite. Mrs. Morgan also leaves 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Morgan are: Mark Perry, Trevor Morgan, T.C. Morgan, Jerry Low, Andrew Bishop and John Manning.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church/Sherman, 400 S. Travis, Sherman, TX 75090.
