SHERMAN - Graveside services for Ruby Earl Kumler, age 91, of Sherman, Texas will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Mary Lois O'Neal will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

Ruby passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Homestead of Sherman Nursing Home.
She was born on March 29, 1920, in Luella, Texas, the daughter of Harry Earl and Lilly Porter Orr. Ruby graduated from Sherman High School. She married Clay Maurice Kumler on March 29, 1941. They were married for 56 years before he preceded her in death on June 28, 1997.
She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church in Sherman. She was dedicated to her family and friends. Ruby took pride in her farm and she loved working and taking care of her cows. Ruby was a conscientious employee of Texas Instruments for over 35 years. She will always be remembered for her wonderful cooking.
Ruby is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judy Kumler of Sherman; five grandchildren, Kristal Brown and husband Greg
of Bells, Texas, Shane Kumler and wife Melissa of Sherman, Marshell Larson and husband Jesse of Keller, Texas, Mark Hudson and Michael Hudson both of Kansas; 11 great-grandchildren, Ross Brown, Ramzi Brown, Krisalan Brown, Colten Kumler, Kaden Kumler, Kollin Kumler, Caleb Kumler, Akana Larson, Talen Larson, Anniston Larson and Asteria Larson.
She is also survived by her son-in-law, Gary Gravitt of Denison, Texas; two nephews and one niece.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Marsha Darlene Hudson, son, Michael Dean Kumler, three brothers, Lee Orr, Bill Orr and Nudge Orr, two sisters, Della Ford, Betty Dalton and nephew Morris Lee Orr.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 27th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Cory McKinney, Bobby Ham, Rebecca Edwards, Susan Criswell, Cheryl McCree, Jessica Halpain and Tara Jones who make up the staff of the 200 hall at the Homestead of Sherman.
