Melba Fine was born August 14, 1934 in Hulbert, Oklahoma, daughter of Jessie Smalley and Lawton Collins.  She graduated from Sand Springs High School.  She was a homemaker and later worked as a cook for Sand Springs school district.
She married Claude Fine in August in April 1954 min Sand Springs, Oklahoma; they were happily married for over 67 years.  They enjoyed traveling especially in Colorado.  A favorite trip of theirs was when they took a cruise to Alaska.
Melva enjoyed playing games with friends and family, reading the Bible and making some amazing desserts.  To be close ot her family, Melva and Claude moved to Sherman in June 1998.
She was a fun loving, caring and beautiful Christian woman.  She answered to several name: Mom, Melva, Melva Dean, and Grandma.  She will be missed beyond words.
Melba  passed away July 23, 2021.

Melva was proceded in death by son, Grant David.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Gary; and daughter-in-law, Darleah in Garland; and Jeff and daughter-in-law, Michelle, of Rowlett; and great-granddaughters, Amanda, Monika, and Courtney of Rowlett.
