DENISON - Funeral for J.C. Parker, 73, of Colbert and Denison, who died Sept. 13, 1992, at his home in Denison, will be at
1 p.m. Saturday in Smith Memorial Chapel. The Revs. G. W. DeHorney and W. M. Topsey will officate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Parker was born Feb. 28, 1919 in Denison, son of E. L. and Sara Parker. He attended Denison schools and married Mable White Kinney. Parker was retired from Johns-Manville and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church of Denison.
Survivors include his wife of Colbert; son, Gary of Denison; daughter, Nyla Joyce Parker of Atlanta, Ga; two stepsons, James Kinney of Colbert, Freddie Seamster of Denison; three stepdaughters, Barbara Smith of Denison; Marquita Kinney, Paulette Kinney, both of Colbert; sister, Doris Harris of Denison; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Donald Wilson, Lovey Pough, Jim Carreathers, Alphonso White, Carl Penn-White and Kevin Smith.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday.
