16 November 1884 At 7:30 Friday Mrs. Ellen Welch, consort of Schyler Welch, passed from life to eternity after a painful and lingering illness. The funeral of this estimable lady took place from the Presbyterian church Saturday evening at 3 o'clock. A great many friends followed the remains to Fairview cemetery where the interment took place.
