On Tuesday, November 5, 2019 the Lord called Melvin Lee Sedlacek, 87, to his heavenly home.
Mr. Sedlacek was born December 11, 1931 in Fairfield, Ohio, son of Michael and Eva Goodwin Sedlacek.  He married the love of his life, Frances Dalphon September 4, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  After 40 years as a professional structural engineer, Melvin retired from Sedeco Engineers.  He designed, built and operated Closets and Garages Storage in Denison.  He won an award as engineer for the international Petroleum Exposition building in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Melvin was a Boy Scoutmaster for Troop #119.  He was a member of Grace Bible Church, where he served as an elder. 
Mr. Sedlacek leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Frances Sedlacek, of Denison, Texas; sons, Randy Sedlacek and wife, Kathy, of Denison, Texas; David Sedlacek and wife, Kathy, of Prague, Czech; granddaughters, Chelsea Mejivar and husband, Freddy, of Denison, Texas; Whitney Farnsworth and husband, Todd, of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons,
Andrew Sedlacek and wife, Hannah, of West Chicago, Illinois; Timothy Sedlacek and wife, Rachel of Oak Park, Illinois; Daniel Sedlacek of Wheaton, Illinois; and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd, Floyd, Clyde and Donald Sedlacek; sister, Anna Marie Sedlacek; and beloved daughter, Deborah Marie Sedlacek.
Graveside services were held Friday afternoon, November 8, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Denison.  A memorial service was held Saturday morning, November 9, 2019 at Grace Bible Church in Sherman, Texas. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
