Sterling Price, Retired
Shopman Passes Away

One of Denison's retired shopmen, Sterling J. Price, 69, who was connected with the Katy for ten years, and who for the past twenty years made his home in nine and ten hundred blocks West Morgan street, died Sunday at 8:15 at the home
of a son,
Jimmie at 413 E. Morton street where he has resided for the past year.
Deceased came to Denison in 1913 and engaged with the Katy in the local shops filling that position until he retired in 1922.
He was born Dec. 12, 1865 in Paducah, Ky., the home of Irving S. Cobb and knew him  personally when he was a printer in the old home town. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Creed H. Price.
In November 2, 1896 he was married at Metropolis, Ill., to which union one son was born, Jimmie, who with the mother still survive.
Deceased was a member of the First Methodist church, and funeral services will be conducted under the auspices of that church from the church at 4 o'clock p.m. Monday, with interment at Fairview. Rev. E. L. Williams will be in charge of the church service, with the Masonic order, lodge No. 403 assisting.
Also surviving are two brothers, B. H. Price and M. S. Price, Paducah, Ky.
