Stephen Samuel Judd

Services for Stephen Samuel Judd, age 65, of Sherman, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison, TX. Chaplain Ross Prater will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Honor Guard from Ft. Hood, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

Mr. Judd passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.

Steve was born on April 16, 1945 to George Wesley and Zelma Stephens Judd. He graduated from Tom Bean High School in 1962. Steve served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. While serving, he achieved top honors as a Drill Sergeant. He graduated from East Texas University in 1975 with a BA in Industrial Management. Steve married Deborah Baker on July 17, 1970. Steve was a Baptist.
Steve worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor at Texas Instruments from 1967 to 2011. He loved fishing, hunting and was a member of the Texoma Bass Club. He loved spending time with his children, their families, and his granddaughter.
Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah P. Judd of Sherman, TX, son, Joe Judd and wife Ashley of McKinney, TX, daughter, Jamie Reece and husband Jason of Houston, TX, daughter, Julie Prater and husband Luke of St. Paul, TX, one granddaughter, Cali Reece, mother in law, Vivian Baker, brother in law, Wesley Baker. Brother, Ralph Judd of Whitewright, TX and two sisters, Mary Jones and Beverly Capps both of Tom Bean, TX. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Douglas Judd of Borger, TX and sister, Eutolia Farkas of Tom Bean, TX.
Pallbearers will be Jim Towery, Floyd Watson, Johnny Sinor, Don Griffiths, John Steele and Steve Vest.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
