PASSED AWAY
Another of Denison's pioneer citizens has passed into the great beyond.  At his residence in this city on Friday evening at
6 o 'clock, Mr. J.H. Hopper, one of Denison's old time business men, quietly passed away.  Mr. Hopper was one of our earliest settlers. having come here about 1873.  We understand that he was a native of Tennessee in which state he lived up to the time of his removing to Texas.  For some months he had not been feeling well, and within the last 3 weeks typhoid fever set in, which, acting with other complications, brought about his death.

Deceased was a citizen of sterling worth and it will be with sincere regret that his old time friends will hear of his death.
He was 56 years of age.

The funeral services took place at the family residence on west Woodard street. at 3 o'clock Saturday, and the interment
at Fairview Cemetery.
