ANOTHER PIONEER DEAD
The Gazetteer regrets to chronicle the death of our pioneer citizen, S. Harriman, which occurred Friday morning at the home of his son-in-law, S.C. O'Dair, No. 530 W. Morgan street.
Mr. Harriman had been an invalid for the past 3 years and more.  He was very ill at Cale, I.T., about 1 year ago and came near dying.  Several months ago he closed out his business there and moved to Denison.  He was one of the first undertakers to do business in Denison, coming here in 1876.
No one has a more honorable business record than S. Harriman. He followed out the precepts of the golden rule as near
as any man that we ever met.  His character was above reproach.  He was a  man of noble and generous impulses, a good citizen and loyal friend.   While he did not make as much noise in the world as some people, those nearest to him bear loving testimony to his worth.
At t he time of death the deceased was in his 65th year.
He was prominent in Masonic circles and will be buried under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity.
The funeral will be held from the house Sunday evening at 4 o'clock and the remains will be interred in Fairview cemetery where the deceased's wife is buried.
Four children survived him.
