ANOTHER BUTANE GAS VICTIM IS ADDED TO DEATHS
Another death was added to the list of 11 deaths incident to the butane gas explosions in Northwest Denison November 21, when, following a struggle to live since that date, death came to Lonnie Joe Hammons, 13, Saturday night.  This runs the total deaths to 12, and only one more of those seriously burned in the explosion remains alive.
The accident happened when a gas truck and a sedan crashed into each other at the intersection of Morton street and Maurice avenue, and was the most tragic accident in the history of Denison.
Funeral services were conducted Monday with interment in Fairview.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Hammons, Denison; a sister, Melva Jean Hammons, Denison; his grandfather, Joe Hammons, Blanchard, Oklahoma; and his grandmother, Mrs. Joe Hammond, Colbert.
