SUDDEN DEATH
The sweetest relief of old age is to die suddenly, to pass away like a dream, going to that peaceful sleep that knows no awakening.  That was the happy end that was vouchsafed to Cornelius C. Connell last Friday night.  For the past 5 years
he has been making his
home with his daughter, Mrs. W.A. Peck, No. 508 W. Owings street.  He was in good health and spirits when he retired; death probably came to him without a pang.  The deceased was nearing the century mark when called away.  He was over 85 years of age, having been born in Syracuse, New York, in 1817.  The funeral took place last Saturday afternoon from the home of W.A. Peck.  Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J.L. Mills, the interment at Fairview cemetery.
