MRS. COLEMAN DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Florence Oxendale Coleman, about 60 years of age, widow of Fleming Coleman, former Denison mayor and city commissioner, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday at her home 205 W. Munson street.  Mrs. Coleman, who recently rallied from a long illness, suffered a relapse shortly before her death.
Mrs. Coleman's son, Ben, a resident of Washington state, is enroute to his home following a visit here and attempts are being made to locate him and inform him of Mrs. Coleman's death.
Mrs. Coleman was born and reared in Canada and came to Denison at the age of 17 after a short residence in Illinois.
She had received a  musical education in the North and East.  She was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E.  Jasperson, pioneer Denison residents, and it was at their home on Crockett avenue that she married Fleming Coleman about 37 years ago.
Mr. Coleman died suddenly about a year ago.  Mrs. Coleman was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopalian Church.
She is survived  by one son, Ben, and one daughter, Mrs. T.J. Talty of Moline, Missouri.
Funeral services had not been announced Saturday morning pending word from relatives.  The body is being held at Halton-Swank funeral home.
