Funeral services were conducted Tuesday for H.R. Walker, a Katy engineer who was killed while on duty in the yards at Dallas Saturday.
Two wild box cars which broke loose from a string of cars sideswiped his engine which was standing at a point on a spur where the cars struck on his side of the engine.  The fireman, H.C. Davis, jumped in time to save his life, but the efforts of Walker to save himself were futile.   He was promoted to engineer last year after being a fireman for many years.
The body was shipped to Denison where interment was made following services.   He lived with his family at 529 E. Gandy street.
Surviving are his widow; 4 sons, W.T., Denison; Ralph and Mat, Dallas; and Roy, stationed at Boston with the Navy.  Daughters are Mrs. Lillian Barrentine, Dallas; and Mrs. Geo. Taylor, Independence, Kansas.
