  Milton Walter Burkhardt 26 September 1920 - 11 December 2004 Nelrose Emma Burkhardt 13 December 1928 - 9 January 2011  Herald Democrat January 11, 2011  Nelrose E. Burkhardt passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at the age of 82. She was born on Dec. 13, 1928, in Bulverde to Wilhelm Otto and Minnie Stahl. On January 22, 1956, she married Milton W. Burkhardt in New Braunfels. Nelrose is survived by her daughter, Minnie Burkhardt, son-in-law, Thomas A. Curtis, granddaughter Natalie Noel Curtis and grandson Christian Curtis, all of Denison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Burkhardt, her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Private services are under the arrangement of Bratcher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison. For those desiring, contributions can be made to the TMC Volunteers. She loved her family and showed that love every day by working hard to take care of everyone in it. She loved the Lord more than anyone and lived her life accordingly.
