Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Friday afternoon for Mrs. Maggie Pate, 78, of 731 E. Woodard, who died in a local hospital Thursday after a long illness.  The Rev. J.W. Lasater, pastor of East Baptist church conducted the services and interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Pate was the widow of John W. Pate.  She had been blind for many years. She was born in Berry County, Mo., Oct. 27, 1872.  She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Mrs. H.E. McCord, Sherman, and V.E. Erwin, Denison.
