Mrs. Sarah McPhail, 62 years old, died at the family home at Baer's Ferry Tuesday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock of smallpox.  She was ill about 2 weeks.
Mrs.McPhail came here with her husband about 2 years ago from St. Joe, Missouri.  Her son, Dr. Warren S. McPhail, died October 23 of the smallpox while on a visit here.  It is assumed that Mrs. McPHail contracted the disease from him. 
She was born in Springfield, Illinois, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Green.
She is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons, also 2 grandchildren.
The burial will be held privately in Maple Grove Cemetery this afternoon  Shields, funeral director.

The funeral for Mrs. Sarah McPhail, who died Tuesday at the home at Baer's Ferry, was held privately at the grave in Maple Grove Cemetery yesterday afternoon. J. E. Morris of the Y.M.C.A. conducted the services.
