Stacy Earl Elam, 54, retired railway mail clerk, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at a local hospital following an illness of two months.  Mr. Elam had been in the hospital three weeks.
Mr. Elam was a native of Marlin, Texas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George T. Elam, and came to Denison from Marlin.  Mr. Elam's wife, Mrs. Mary Earl Elam, died here one year ago.  Mr. Elam was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are two sons, Dan of Denison and George of Beeville, Texas; one brother, Will Elam of Greenville, Mississippi; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Bemus of San Antonio and Miss Una Elam of Greenville, Mississippi; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Halton-Swank chapel, Rev. Harry Lee Virden officiating. Burial will be
at Fairview cemetery.

Pallbearers were A.P. Woods, Louis Boarey, N.E. Hightower, Ben H. Russell, E.H. Denton and J.W. Gaskill
