Following a brief illness, Mr. C. J. Walker, residing at 912 West Grandy street, died Wednesday night. Mr. Walker came to Denison early in the city's history, and, although he has never engaged in any active business, he was known and esteemed by everybody.  He is the father of Dr. H. T. Walker, dentist; Miss Irelene Walker, principal of the city high school; and Mrs. DeWitt, Texas agent for one of the large New England book concerns. By profession Mr. Walker was a civil engineer.  His home of nativity was in southwest Georgia.  His remains were interred Friday morning in Fairview cemetry, and were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of sympathizing friends of the deceased.
