Mrs, J.K. Simmons, 85, of 1605 West Bond, died Thursday at 10:40 P.M. at a local nursing home after a six month illness.
Funeral will be Saturday at 4 P.M. at Bratcher chapel with Rev. Henry Garber, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and Rev. J.F. Ellison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 o'clock.
Mrs Simmons was born Nov. 6, 1880 in Moulton, Ala. She married Joseph K. Simmons May 29, 1897 in Denison. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Joe of Lincoln, Nebr. and Atlee of Gainesville; two daughters, Mrs Vera Barnes and Mrs Ruth Esquibell of Denison; one sister Mrs Lucy Carroll of Denison; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
