LOUIS CHRISTIAN WELL KNOWN HERE DIES MONDAY EVE
Louis Lane Christian, well known Denison man and for 21 years connected with the Snow-White laundry as an employee, died Monday afternoon at 6 o'clock following an illness that has extended over a period of 7 months.  Mr. Christian died at
the family home, 1010 West Hull street, from which place funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4:30.
Mr. Christian was born September 18, 1871 at Mt. Vernon, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Christian.  Mr. Christian was educated in the public schools of the state and in the East Texas State Normal at Commerce and at Tyler Commercial
college.  For a period of 12 years he taught school in Pictor and Pine Forest, Texas.
In 1900 he moved to Whitewright where he was married to Miss Nell Jones in 1906.  The couple moved to Denison in 1912 and the family residence has been maintained here ever since.
To the union 3 children were born, all of whom survive.  They are 3 daughters: Miss Chlorine Christian of Denison; Miss Florabelle Christian of Weslaco, Texas; and Mrs. B.F. Berly of Paris.  Also surviving is the widow, Mrs. Nell Christian
and a grandchild.
Surviving also are 4 brothers and a sister: Lee Christian of El Paso; A.W. Christian of Longview; E.R. Christian of Marshall; W.M. Christian of Mt. Vernon; and Mrs. D.A. Bennett of Como.
Deceased was a member of the Methodist church having united when a child.  Funeral services will be conducted under auspices of the church, followed by interment at Fairview.  Short-Murray, funeral directors, will be in charge.
