Following an illness of 8 months, Mrs. Carrie Vivian Hood, 59, died at a local hospital Sunday morning.  Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. Guy Newman officiating.  Interment was at Fairview.
Born in Denison, Jun3 17, 1883, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey A.  Brigham.  Her education was received in the schools of Denison and she was married on Christmas eve, December 1905 to Ewell M. Hood, who survived here along with his two sons,  Pvt. Earl M. Hood, U.S. Army, and Roy Hood. Daughters are  Mrs. J.B. Arnold , Shreveport and Mrs. Roy Oliphant, Denison.  Brothers  are Ed. A., Frank J.  and Charles H. Brigham, all of Denison.  Sisters are Mrs. E.W. Willard,
Shreveport, Louisiana and Mrs. D. Wesson, Dallas.
