Mrs. J.H. Foster, one of the best known residents of this city died at her home, corner of Crockett avenue and Sheppard street, last Saturday.
Her death was one of the most unexpected events .  While not in very good health, no one anticipated that the end was so near. Mrs. Foster has been a resident of Denison for a number of years, coming here with her husband about 15 years ago.  She was born in Tennessee and at the time of her death was about 38 years of age.
At an early age she joined the Christian church, and on coming here she became a member of the First Christian church of this city. She was a charter member of Rebekah Degree Lodge No. 126 and of White Rose Grove No. 4, Woodmen Circle.
The funeral was largely attended, quite a number of friends and relatives
being present from points in Texas.
Mrs. Foster was a woman of most estimable character and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends.  Her sudden death was a great shock and caused many expressions of deep sorrow.  The funeral was conducted from the First Christian church
