CONDENSED HOME NEWS
WEDNESDAY, January 21 - Contractor Michael Eyer died very suddenly at his home No. 313 W. Texas street, Tuesday morning. Mr. Eyer was an old landmark of Denison, having resided here many years working at his trade of contracting. His services were probably more sought after than any other carpenter in Denison. For the past two years, Mr. Eyer has been ailing with Rheumatism which compelled to some extent to give up his profession. He is one of the best men that has ever lived in Denison, a good citizen and a kindhearted parent. Mr. Eyer has raised a large family of children, the boys following in the profession of the father.
He was born in Michigan. Until afflicted with rheumatism, Mr. Eyer was a very rugged and healthy man, and even at his advanced age was able to perform a hard day's work.
He was laid to rest at Maple Grove cemetery, a large number of citizens paying their respects.
