Teacher, Dies

Mrs. N. E. Campbell, 82, retired Denison school teacher, died Wednesday at 4:25 p.m. in a local hospital after a six-week illness.
She taught in the Denison Public Schools from 1911 until her retirement in 1943. Mrs. Campbell was Central Ward principal for a number of years. Mrs. Campbell resided at 618 West Woodard. Born May 18, 1878, at Aurora, Ark., she was in the first high school class graduating from the Springdale, Ark., schools. She attended Kansas University, Kansas State and Austin College. She married N. E. Campbell May 2, 1901, at West Fork, Ark. Mrs. Campbell was a member of First Baptist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Survivors include a son, B. A. Campbell of San Antonio, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Bratcher chapel with Rev. Henry Garber, First Baptist pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family requests that donations be made to the Denison Public Library or the First Baptist Church Library instead of sending flowers. The family will be at the funeral chapel Friday from 7:30 until 8:30 p.m.
