Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Short-Murray chapel for John Frederick Ammer who died at his home,
923 W. Woodard Monday.  Rev. James E. Spivey officiated and interment was made at Fairview.
Born January 17, 1878 at Hebron, Indiana, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin Ammer.  He worked for the Katy in the freight
office and later entered the retail grocery business.
Surviving are a brother, Albert of Eastland; and a sister, Mrs. Albert Krattiger, Denison.
