Funeral Service For John H. Briggs Tuesday
Funeral services for John H. Briggs were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Short-Murray funeral chapel with Rev. B.F. Rogers, pastor of the Free Will Baptist church, in charge.  Interment was at Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Briggs was accidentally killed when he fell beneath a boxcar while serving as a brakeman on the Katy near Durant, September 28.
