DENISON - Graveside service for Fred Scoggin, 73, of 305 W. Acheson, who died Thursday at a Denison hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. Johnnie Haney officiating. Bratcher Funeral Home is in charge. Scoggin was born Nov. 12, 1911, in Denison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scoggin. He was a retired conductor for the M-K-T Railroad and was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Scoggin was a past member of the Texas National Guard and Elks Club. He was a lifelong Denison resident. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Drake of Wichita Falls; sister, Edwina Aday of Denison; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
