Funeral services were conducted Sunday for Mrs. Effie Atkin, 69, who died at the family home, 413 W. Morton,
Saturday, Rev. Ben F. Hearn officiating.  Interment was at Fairview.
Mrs. Atkin was born at La Porte, Indiana, March 1, 1874, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Crane.  She
had made her home here for 20 years, coming to Denison from Muskogee, Oklahoma and made her home with a daughter,
Mrs. Ben F. Lacey.  Death came from a stroke.  She was a member of the Christian church and of the Woodmen Circle.
Surviving are one son, Harvey R. of Bay City, Texas; the Denison daughter, Mrs. Lacey; one granddaughter, Mrs.
Edward Jordan, Denison; and four sisters, Mrs. Dollie Cook, Garey, Indiana; Mrs. Lizzie Keeler, Alliance, Nebraska;
Mrs. Jessie Koke, Butte, Montana; and Mrs. Ruth Bassett, Miami, Oklahoma
