Research notes and corrections by Jim Sears:
1. The obit states Rachel and Thomas Sandlin married in 1903. That is the date that Thomas Sandlin died in Missouri. They were married in August 1880 and had eleven children between 1881 and 1902. Thomas had two children from a previous marriage to a woman who died in April 1880. Source: Ancestry.com
2. The obit states that Rachel lived at 1405 West Gandy for 44 years which is probably the lapse of time since she came to Denison. In 1907 Rachel lived with three adult children at 611 W. Sears. In 1909 Rachel lived on E. Shepherd. In 1911 she lived on E. Munson. In 1913 Rachel returns to 703 W. Sears. In 1915 she is living at 509 W. Sears. In 1917 she is living at
1401 W. Gandy, later moving to 1405 W. Gandy.
