Funeral services are pending at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home for Haskell Abshire, 51, of Cincinnati,
Ohio, former Denisonian, who died in a veterans' hospital in Oteen, North Carolina Sunday, July 27.  The
body is being returned to Denison for interment in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Abshire was the brother of Mrs. Bert Lyon, 607 E. Monterey.
He was born in Kemp, Oklahoma, November 5, 1907, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Abshire.  He attended Denison
schools and was a shoe salesman in Denison before moving away.  He was a veteran of World War II.  He
had never married.
He is survived by a brother, Edwin Abshire of Cincinnati and his sister, Mrs. Lyon.
