DEATH ROLL
MRS. W. A. HALLENBECK
Following an illness which lingered for several days, Mrs. W. A. Hallenbeck, 82, for many years a resident and the wife of one of the early confectioners and bakery operators here, died Monday morning at San Antonio at which point she had made her residence for the past 25 years.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 from the Episcopal church here with the rector, Rev. Raymond S. Ottensmeyer, officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview with Short-Murray directing.
Born and reared in Iowa, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. John B. Carlet, she received her education in Iowa and Missouri, moving to this city when she was 18 years of age. As Miss Eugene Carlat she was married to W. A. Hallenbeck, who died in 1915.
Surviving are one son, Chas. A. of St. Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Sidney Elkin, San Antonio, and Mrs. Frank Thomas, San Antonio. A brother, George Carlat, lives in this city.
