DENISON MAN KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT
Carl Dewees, former Denison man, making his home at Joplin, Missouri, died shortly after being struck by a passing car as he was at the task of changing a tire on the truck he was driving.  The accident happened near Alice, Texas early Wednesday.
The body will be brought to this city for interment, but all plans have not been completed.  Mrs. Dewees arrived in the city today to make funeral arrangements.
The accident happened about 6 o'clock while Mr. Dewees was changing a tire on his truck, he having gone for a load of produce and supplies for his customers.  He died Wednesday night about 9:30.
Mr. Dewees was born April 6, 1906 at Sherman, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Dewees.  He was married October 18, 1932 at Venita, Oklahoma. Surviving are his wife, mother, and 2 sons, Claude Edward and Bobbie Leon, of Joplin.  Two  uncles, B.L. and A.S. Dewees live in Denison
