DEATHS
GEORGE L. SEAMAN
Funeral services for George L. Seaman, who died Feb. 4, were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Bratcher chapel with Rev. James L. Logan, pastor of First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment was at Fairview with Bratcher directing.
Born in Kansas City, Kan., Nov. 28, 1886 Seaman married Mrs. Thelma York MaHaney at Ardmore Nov. 3, 1934. He came to Denison as a roundhouse foreman for the Katy and held that position for 13 years. He then became engine inspector and remained in that job until retiring in 1956. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the local machine lodge. He had also served as president of the Texoma Rabbit Breeders Association which was active in this area a few years back.
Seaman lived in Denison 35 years, recently moving to the Rainbow Courts in Sherman.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Larry Seaman of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Willard Seaman of St. Louis, Mo.; a step-son, Forest Mahaney of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Perry of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Lon Black of Kansas City, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
