Funeral services were held Monday at Bratcher-Moore chapel for Mrs. Leora Belle Holmes, 86, native of Grayson county, who died at her home, 617 W. Munson, Sunday night after a year's illness.  Rev. W.O. Bucy and Rev. Wm. Beall officiated and interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Holmes was born in the Georgetown community in June 1866 and attended school in Denison.  She was married in 1890 to Lauret Holmes, Sr.  She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are 3 sons, Lauret Holmes, Jr.; Harry Holmes, and Arthur Holmes, all of Denison; and 2 daughters, Mrs. Lillian Spillard, Lamont, California; and Margaret Renaud, Venus, California.
