Syble Jane Anderson Cox, 94 years old of Denison, Texas passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Renaissance in Sherman, Texas.
Visitation will be 10:00am, Monday August 20, 2018 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel in Denison, Texas with the funeral at 11:00am officiated by Pastor Cheryl Murphy of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church and burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas.
Syble was born Saturday April 19, 1924 in Gordonville, Texas to Hubert and Irene Anderson as an only child. She attended Denison schools and after graduation married Ralph Cox on Sunday October 16, 1949 at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison, Texas. She worked at the State National Bank in Denison for many years and then later worked part time for the Denison District Telephone Credit Union.
Syble was active in the community serving as a member of Beta Sigma Phi, PEO, Order of the Eastern Star Gate City Chapter #77, a life long member of Texas State PTA (awarded by Houston Elementary School), former member of Denison Service League and the Junior Alpha Delphi Club and a life long Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Cox in 2008; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Cox Hayes and special friend Haskel Williamson of Burleson, Texas; daughter Janice Cox Stephens and husband Larry of Denison, Texas; grandsons Matthew Tyler Sulser and Zachary James Sulser.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the ladies at the Renaissance Assisted Living and to the Heart to Heart Hospice care givers for the wonderful job and care. Many thanks to all for their prayers, calls, texts, and visits.
