Funeral services for John D. Braun, 65, of 428 W. Morgan, were held in Bratcher Chapel Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Fairview.
Mr. Braun died suddenly Friday, December 21 at 9:45 pm with a heart attack at the home of his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Braun, 428 W. Morgan.
Deceased was a native of Denison, born April 24, 1891, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Braun. His father was an early Denison meat market owner. He was married in Sherman January 15, 1919 to Velva Steele. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy at Dallas,  December 3, 1909 and retired as a chief petty officer.
Survivors are his wife and stepmother of Denison; 2 sisters, Miss Thelma Braun, Dallas and Mrs. Annie Blackwood, Coolidge, Arizona.
