Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Claudia May Luton, 69, of 509 W. Chestnut, who died in a local hospital Tuesday after a week's illness. The Rev. Ronald Prince, pastor of Parkside Baptist church officiated and interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Luton was born in Tennessee, Nov. 7, 1882, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. David Crabtree. She was married at Ector in 1904. She was a member of the First Baptist church.
Survivors are three sons, Leo D. Luton, Sherman; Edgar A. Luton, Houston; and J. W. Luton of Fort Worth; a daughter, Mrs. Virgie Mae Sloan, Stockton, Cal., two brothers, Edgar Crabtree, Dallas, and Roy Crabtree, Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Parks of Chattanooga, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
