Funeral services for Early Phillips, who died Monday, were conducted Friday at the Short-Murray Chapel, with Rev. Guy Perdue officiating, followed by interment at Fairview.  He resided at 1108 E. 10th street, Amarillo.  He died while here on a visit with his sisters, Mrs. W.C. Baker and Mrs. W.A. Fowler.
Born March 27, 1887 in Logan county, Arkansas, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Phillips.  His schooling was received in the schools of Bells and he was married July 25, 1915 to Miss Bertha Allison at Wichita Falls.  He was in the produce business.
Surviving are his widow; his sisters; and 2 brothers, Joe and Charles Phillips of Swink, Texas.
