Funeral services for John Thomas Smith, 71, were held at Bratcher Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2:30.  Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Smith died in Oklahoma City Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Willis T. Coffey, after 4 days of illness.  He had lived in Oklahoma City 5 months.
Mr. Smith was born in Petty, Texas December 1, 1885, son of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Smith.  He was married December 20, 1908 to Ida Mae Townsley.
Survivors are a son, W.K. Smith of Denison; 6 daughters, Mrs. L.L. King, and Mrs. Alva B. Harris, both of Denison; Mrs. A.L. Matlock, Deport, Texas; Mrs. G.F. Hughes, Calera, Oklahoma; Mrs. Orbie Yancey, Boswell, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Coffey in Oklahoma City; and 22 grandchildren.
