- Funeral for Marguerite A. Scott, 75, 2410 W. Morton, who died Sunday
in a local hospital, will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Waples
Methodist Church, with Dr. Tom Peel and the Rev. Dennis Wilkinson
officiating. Gate City Chapter #77 of the Eastern Star will conduct
graveside services at Fairview Cemetery. Bratcher Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scott was born Aug. 12. 1911, in Denison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A Bemis. She was educated in Denison schools and married James L. "Dick" Scott April 18, 1933 in Madill. Mrs. Scott, a registered nurse, retired in 1975 from Texoma Medical Center. She was a member of the Waples Methodist Church, Gate City Chapter of O.E.S., Ladies' Auxiliary of V.F.W. and A.A.R.P. Surviving are a son, John, of Denison; two daughters, Nancy Scott of Denison, Jane Bryant of Brunswick, Ga.; brother, J. R. Bemis of Denison; sister, Mable Weaver of Tyler; and five grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 tonight.
