Rites Pending For
Mrs. Mary Carender

DENISON - Funeral arrangements are pending at Bratcher Funeral Home here for Mrs. Mary Hester  Carender, 80, of Denison, who died at 8:15 a.m. Friday in a local hospital.
Mrs. Carender, a resident here for 18 years, was born Feb. 6, 1886, in Mena, Ark., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aynes. On Nov. 2, 1902, she married N. C. Carender at Preston Bend. He died in 1948. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, and the senior auxillary at the church.
Survivors are four sons, Haskell Carender of Sherman, C. E. Carender of Wasco, Calif., Vernon Carender of Spring Dale, Ark., and Hiram Carender, with the U.S.Army in Germany; four daughters, Mrs. W. C. Simms of Denison, Mrs. M. T. Johnson of Seagoville, Mrs. Art Huggins of Carlsbad, N.M., an Mrs. Mattie Whinnery of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Marion Aynes of Oklahoma City, 27 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
